My old fabia vRS is dead...

Featured Replies

After buying swmbo an old honda, she got a 'friend' to run the plate, was told it has never been involved in criminal activity, and it has never been in a serious crash, she was happy...

because someone on here a few years ago posted an e-bay "breaking" as of a fabia vRS that fitted the discription of my old one (had the same combination of different tyres front and back/ miles ect ect) she ran the plate of that to...

it was written off 2 MONTHS after I sold it! I don't know why , but it made me quite sad, me and that car did 80,000 miles together, and it never got bumped once!

RIP.

I can understand why you might feel like that Dave.

Shame really that you see some nice/looked after cars recked like this.

Phil

Sad to hear.

I find it sad that some people just don't care for their cars in anywhere near the same the way that we do :'(

That's a real shame. That car drove pretty nicely too despite the miles. :)

Ah, that's unfortunate :( My first car was a recent victim of the wintery weather, got rolled by the fella I sold it to. It's quite sad!

Similar thing happened to my mum's old but beloved G-reg black VW Jetta. My parents had it from new, and only sold it after over 10 years of faithful service. 3 weeks later, I spotted it being driven past on a recovery lorry, in a very different shape

Sad news Dave :'(

So sad to hear that.

I'm still waiting for mine/Cols Fabia to resurface after it was sold at salvage.

But it's kak to hear about an old car being trashed.

So Learners never crashed the car, but someone who passed a driving test did crash it :giggle:
