Can anyone recommend an off the shelf stainless exhaust (cat back) for a 4x4 estate ? Not looking for more power / noise / etc, just a pipe I'll never need to replace.

You sound as if you're having the same problem as me. I've only just bought my 4x4 Estate and put it into my local village garage (= independent good guys) and once they looked underneath they 'phoned me with the bad news. To cut the long story short, and after having several wrong part systems sent to them in error, they are telling me the cat-back system on this car (i.e. the 4x4 only) is a one piece and nobody but Skoda can supply them - presumably because demand is low. I'm being quoted roughly £420 but can't tell you yet whether that's with or without VAT. Does this sound familiar? If so, I guess we just go and cry in our beer and hope the exhaust outlasts the rest of the car.

try exhaust uk in sheffield or reputable powerflow dealer they will hand build a system to your car, this way you can choose the sound and the tailpipe design. or contact the likes of mongoose or miltec or any reputable manufacturer and ask them if they would be willing to use your car to do a system they advertise on there website for cars required that might be worth a look if your strugglin

no probs only no about the manufacturers as my bro has a honda accord type r n no one did a system for it so he contacted mongoose and they used his car to build the system and he got it free :'( . and he told me that most of them have a list of cars they require to make a system for

Was hoping I wouldn't have to go down the bespoke route out of convenience. Never thought of offering the car to a manufacturer though.... Ta for the idea.
