DSG Launch Control TDI CR?

Featured Replies

Have had a quick look around the net and can't find a definitive answer on this....Is Launch control only on the petrol DSG's or is it on the Diesels too?

I had a feeling it was available on DSG L & K's only, whether petrol or diesel, but stand to be corrected

Don't quote me but I think it can be activated via VAG-COM.........

I won't, as I don't think it can...........but I stand to be corrected..............again :)

i thought it was all DSG's

Easy way to tell (im doing this from memory from a mates car) is put your foot on the Brake. Put the car in drive (think it needs to be in sport mode aswell) keep foot on brake and press accelerator to the floor.

Car will rev to 2500rpm and stay there. Then just sidestep the brake pedal and hold on :D :D :D

Looking at the specs in an outdated (July 2009) brochure, hill hold control is mentioned in the L & K standard equipment list (over and above Elegance), but isn't mentioned in the vRS standard equipment list (over and above S). It also isn't mentioned as a factory fit option.

Working on that, I'd say it's only available on L & K's, but then brochure details have been known to be wrong !
