Why no Folding Mirrors?

Suprised. Can it be retrofitted from Golf 6?

Cheers.

They do fold but there is no motor and no power to do the folding. Probably there is no wiring in the doors for that extra function.

Well of course i meant "motorized" , the switch looks the same as in Golf. What a shame, even city-cars are having power folding mirrors.

Even my 96 model toyota starlet had folding-retracted mirrors....ho well I guess we can all do without them and use our hands instead.

Probably Skoda want to make more money selling replacements for broken wing mirrors

Nicely thought mate!!

It must be a 'VAG thing'. I've read a similiar thread on a Tiguan forum. It seems that in some markets motorised mirrors come as standard on a Tiguan but not in the UK, like the Yeti its not even an option. However some people have found out that if you have a Tiguan with 'puddle lights' then the motors and wiring are there and it just needs a replacement switch on the door. The forum that refers is at Tiguan Forum, and then the 'Electronics' thread (you need to sign-up for access).

Not sure if this helps with Yetis but I think some trims have puddle lights (Elegance?) so the same might apply.
