My new pickup project!

This is my second pickup. I'm just working underneath treating rust and welding up etc.

the one rear shock is busted, i read mk4 golf springs fit but are the standard golf springs the same length or shorter as i need to replace and golf ones are easier to come across second hand.

PS. if this post is in the wrong section i apologise, didn't know where to put it.

Looks like you have some work on your hands with that one :)

All the best, and keep us up dated :)

Good luck!

yep certainly have a lot of work on my hands! but you have to keep these classics going as a service to the peoples. ;)

only one careful (farmer) owner from new :wonder:

just been digging around underneath.

i need a new sill on the near side you see in picture. i called up the panel shop and all they had was a felicia car one, they look pretty similar but prob have to cut the rear end down a bit. anyone else tried that? also, the rear panel is pretty ripe in places, i have seen new ones on ebay in the past but my local shop can't get em in. has anyone tried putting one on? dunno if i can be bothered with finding and drilling all the spot welds.

Just do it right, another classic in the making :)

blimey, and i thought my pickup was rusty :wonder:

good luck with it, and iirc the sill panel is the same as the hatchback model

If you need any inspiration, have a look around here. There's one Czeck member who has a Fun with a 1.8T in it! :D
