Yeti car cover advice

Featured Replies

When my Yeti eventually arrives it will be parked under a tall tv aerial on which birds convene and enjoy nothing more than a swift bowel movement all over my drive on take off. A consequence of this is that shiny pride and joy will quickly resemble one of Jackson Pollocks finest and all of the nastiness and damage that this can cause to paintwork. I was therefore wondering if any amongst you used a car cover for your Yeti, and, if so, would you recommend one? I would only have to do this for a few months until the main berry enriched bombing season has passed. I have been a little reluctant to cover my cars in the past because I think, maybe in error, that unless the car is shiny clean the cover will rub against the dust and scratch the paintwork? Any advice and recommendations for particular covers gratefully receivedemoticon-0100-smile.gif

How about a Gazebo ? gezebos-sale-hire.co.uk have a 3 meter cube one for about 250 quid.Damn birds can do all they want then

Is the aerial yours? If so could it be moved to another part of the roof? That may be cheaper than buying a cover for your car. If not then ignore this and go back to the beginning.

Thanks guys. Yes the aerial is mine although there is nowhere else for it to go at present and we are planning to move house later this year so don't want to make any changes unless absolutely necessary.

The gazebo is a brilliant idea and one I considered last year before eventually parking on my front lawn. In the end I started to worry that a gust of wind might take it and scratch the car. Think I'll investigate the Gazebo idea again though.....

They have very commercial quality gazebos for £95 for a 3x3 mtr square gazebo with sides.

I know 'cos I've got one and its brilliant. Very solid and well made with a canvas roof.

Thanks Terfyn, I'll give it some thought over the weekend. I can't bear the thought of my new Yeti receiving a coating of acidic bird muck every evening.
