Hi all,

just got home from the garage, i have bought a 2003-53 Octavia vRS, cant wait to pick it up,

sadly have to wait until saturday to pick it up though, im sure it will be worth the wait

Anything i should know about the vRS before i pick it up? cheers

Splendid, and welcome. Looks like you will be having some serious fun. All you need to know is how to drive...the rest comes naturally!

I have a 2003 vRS and to be honest it hasn't let me down yet. Few things to watch for as you will find out if you have a look on the Mk1 Octavia section. As for remapping. I haven't done mine and I still love it! Although most will agree that remapping is the best way to get a few extra horses for not a lot of money. But to get the best from the car, you have to spend a fortune on other things like brakes, suspension etc etc etc.......!

have already started looking at remaps but im goin to drive it as it is for now and see how it goes, anybody know of good garages for remaps around cheshire? cheers

Hi all, finally got around to getting some new shoes ordered for the girl. I'm getting a set of Hankook Ventus Evo K137 235/45 ZR18 98Y XL put onto the Pegasus alloys. I was considering changing out the locking wheel nut for just a regular nut? Which then prompted the second question, I picked up a set of Alcar 9021 17inch Steelies for Winter Tyres, do I need to run seperate nuts due to the alloy v steel nature? Hi all, Skoda Kodiak 4x4 AWD, and Skoda Kodiak front wheel drive....what codes or description spec's etc. differentiate between them ? My problem is that while my newest purchase of a 2020 Skoda Kodiak , 150 HP and Front wheel drive, is a delight in every way, my car insurance has gone through the roof, and when I queried it, I was informed that one of then reasons for the increase (more than.€200) is that its a 4x4 AWD. Only on setting 2 it’s not mega bad but it is getting worse gradually I guess it’s a dodgy bearing anyone else had it and if so was it covered by warranty ? And no it doesn’t play any tunes ….

Hi everyone, I’ve got a 2021 Superb S EL. Fantastic car, very comfortable. I’m thinking of ordering a new Superb Sportline. Has anyone driven both these trims and can tell me how to compare for comfort ? I recently tried an Octavia Sportline and it was too firm for me. Every bump was felt in contrast to my Superb. I’m hoping the Superb Sportline will be ok with the DCC in comfort mode but it does have large wheels. I realise I should really get another S EL but the Sportline looks nicer in

I have a 12 year old Skoda Octavia mk3 TSI 1.4 with 155000 miles on the clock. It has JUST scraped through its MOT after repeated emissions failures due to carbon buildup. The mechanic has told me he doesn't want to see the car back next year as it won't pass again and cleaning the carbon deposit off wouldn't be worth it given the age and value of the car. I've read a lot about Walnut Blasting to remove carbon buildup. Would it be worth it in my case or is the mechanic right, and I should just
