First longish journey

Featured Replies

Picked my 1.2TSI SE 3rd week of Jan and have just undertaken my first longish journey.

This was a weekend trip to Bruges via the tunnel, a round trip of some 420 miles. Most of this was on motorways and dual carriageways and overall I stuck to, or stayed just below, the speed limits. (However I did find myself over once or twice without realising it. It's easily done). Unfortunately part of the journey was on the southern part of the M25 which as always was a bit slow in places.

Anyway on checking the overall MPH towards the end of each leg I found it to be 45mph on the outward stretch and 43mph on the way back.

Also with previous vehicles I used to get leg cramp quite often on a long journey and start wriggling about in the seat. This time no problem. It was a very smooth, comfortable and pleasurable drive.

I'm well pleased.

Sounds good, especially the consumption figures.

Apologies, of course I meant MPG (not mph).

What on earth was I thinking of - "you stupid boy".

Apologies again
