Southampton Car Servicing Recommendations

Featured Replies

Hi all, I need to get the wife's diesel polo serviced, looking for recommendations in the Southampton (preferably on the Dibden / Hythe side of the water). We have been using Hartwells who were actually very well priced for basic servicing, but have now shut down.

Thanks in advance

I would suggest JKM in Pompey but that'll be about an hour's drive from Hythe

I'd recommend Monks AutoMechanical.

I've used them myself and they are very good. Not on a major route, they don't advertise and yet are still busy, which speaks volumes.

They are also close to Southampton and very competitively priced, which is more than can be said for some other indy places, which cost more than main dealers.

If you want a main dealer and don't mind a little bit of a drive (not too far from dibden/hythe) then I'd suggest Meadens of sway.

Excellent service and fair pricing for a main dealer.

Thanks gents, will give these ppl a call.

I used Freeborn in Southampton to get the door card seals repaired on my Fabia under warranty. Although not a main dealer they are an authorised service agent for Skoda and did a very thorough job on my car. I would use them again, unlike the local main dealer who kept missing routine service activity.
