Hey all!

Had a BIG read through the site, found you guys to be very helpfull and informative!

So, im potentially (deffinatly) getting a 2001 Fabia 1.9 Tdi today, but it has a few issues which hopefully you guys can point me in the right direction about;

1) No front grill, where should I go to get a replacement - presumably second hand?

2) Rear shocks, one has gone so I need to get a pair - are there any specific patent parts companys that are good in this area?

3) The main problem, apparantly the power steering wont work. The car was sat for a while and the battery went flat. After this the PAS is said to have not worked. The owner reads that it has to be reset at a VAG dealer in order to allow it to run again (from what he reads in the manual...). From what I read, it could just be a duff battery symptom?

4) If it does need error checking, how much am I looking at to buy a tool/VAGCOM that will read codes/ unlock features? It would be used on this fabia and a new beetle with the 1.9 Tdi engine..
