I am looking to purchase a Mk 1 oCTAVIA VRS, details to follow. The car is located in birmingham and I have been to view it. I wanted to get peoples opinions on it before deciding whether to buy or not.

have done a HPI check and all seems clear. What do people think?

I would be asking them to get that door fixed, if I had been selling that car that's what I'd have done.

If it were me I'd walk away don't buy the first one you come across, they are not rare cars these days!

well it wont have 225 bhp lol more like 210 as he hasnt got the supporting mods to run 225

must say its a nice car that for sure. the tints on the front are illegal and will get you 3 points as there so dark.

but that wouldnt put me off this car

look in the for slae section there are a couple of modified cars in there for around the same but with much better mods and very very clean.

vrs-si car is for sale for £3500 and you will not find a better cleaner car mk1 in europe fact

looking back at the add it really is a nice example like the rear badge etc etc and has rear parking sensors alot of car for the money

Get an insurance quote with the mods included

There is a VRS buying guide in the Octavia Mk1 forum that should help if you go and look at the car

And yes take the 225bhp claim with a pinch of salt, would expect it to have a front mount intercooler, turbo inlet pipe etc. to reliably get that kind of power
