My 1.2 Elegance was £16.50 more to insure for the 6 months remaining than my Peugeot 107 - this included £7.50 amendment fee !

A lot of the insurance factors now are to do with safety, rather than theft-resistance. A safe car means less compo payout for whiplash / physio treatment / time off work etc. Elegance has deadlocks / alarm / unique stereo / lockable wheelnuts.

The Yeti is in an exceptionally low insurance group given its size. The standard fit alarm across the range wil help, not to mention the five star safety rating. The Yeti has some of the best seats on the market for reducing whiplash (see Euroncap for test).
