17705 but only when cold

Featured Replies

Hi I have a golf 1.8t 180 AUQ i thought i would come on here as this engine is same as the VRS

I had mine remapped in december but every time i start from cold and drive it will be fine for about half a mile then limp mode, check the code 17705 pressure drop etc check DV.

if i turn it off and back on it wont do it again till started from cold,

I have changed DV for forge 007p, checked all pipes, fitted AGU boost pipe so no push fit to pancake pipe, replaced PCV pipe work. presure tested the system cold and hot no leaks,

fitted a Brand new throttle body, had a full service, replaced N75, MAF, fitted a samco TIP and BMC.

Still there every time.

Any help would be great

thanks

Woody

im sure ive read somewhere that this can be a mapping proble also as you have changed all the other bits it can be.

will do a search and see if i can find something im sure it was ben at shark performance that mentioned it.....

p.s whats the difference between the agu boost pipes

Save the map and have a standard map flashed into the car, bet you that cures it. If not, it may be the ECU

It never does it on standard MAP which we have swapped, the person that done the map says its fine on other 180's its just mine which i think isnt the case

maybe they just dont notice it like mine. Im also not to happy with the boost levels as its only requesting 15/16psi peek i was expecting 18psi.

am at a loss what todo i think it looks like im just going to have to get it re remapped somewhere else.

Hi I have similar problem (Audi TT 1.8T 225), 17705 fault and limp mode only when under 5 C in morning!

So far I found that it could be a bug in ECU - wrong Intake air temperature values in map. So if you got another ECU it might be a reason why you have it now! I have confirmation from tuner company that it is common on Octavia RS, Seat Cupra, Audi TT - with 180 or 225 engine.
