Rattle/squeeky glove box

Featured Replies

When driving, there is a squeek/rattle coming from the glovebox area.

I though it was the contents of the glovebox but removing the items didn't make the noise go away.

I don't recall the noise being present when I got the got. It seems to have started after the car had a service.

Would the anything around the glovebox area be removed to gain access to something? (Filter?)

I'm thinking that they have and it hasn't be tightened back properly.

Pollen filter is in this area I believe. So possibly.

Check the Puravent site. They give instructions for fitting and removal.

Fitting Instructions

Where is the pollen filter?

passenger side behind access plate in footwell

Time to change - approx. 10 minutes

How Easy to change - straight forward

Tools Needed?

phillips or pozidrive screwdriver or screwbit

Fitting Stage 1:-

Detatch the footwell ceiling trim nearest the seat, and let it hang down. Remove the access plate to the filter housing by sliding across and then pull down. The old filter should then slide out.

Fitting Stage 2:-

Insert the new filter ensuring that the airflow arrows on the filter point towards the seat. Refit the access plate and footwell ceiling trim.
