Skoda Yeti Video Test

What are other people's opinion of road noise in the 2.0Tdi 140bhp? It seemed okay on my test drive but I was not in it for long. I kept reading elsewhere that it was quiet at speed.

I like the "mild off roading" quote....

I found my two test drives remarkably noise free.

I did find myself in this review wondering what a Ye'i was?

I think the car may have been a pre-pro or something, early press cars can be. Interior was creaky and the road noise may have been a result of not having proper sound insulation fitted/ larger alloys on that model.

Hi,

Just coming up to 6000 miles in mine (140 Tdi Elegance) on all sorts of roads and I have no issues with any noise. The engine is much quieter than my previous car (Seat Altea Freetrack with the 170 Tdi PD), wind and road noise are low enough to not be an issue. I would agree that the issues in the video are due to this being an early model or maybe the tyres are an issue (mine's on Pirellis).

Cheers,

Tony

Yeah, I have a feeling it was something to do with the wheels and tyres fitted to that vehicle which is why I said that. Engine and wind noise were totally absent.
