Were getting one!

After much deliberation between the facelifted Qashqai and Yeti, the Skoda won me over! Much of it was to do with all the bad reports of rear suspension probelms with the Qashqai.

I feel the Yeti is a better car overall, and had to drive 15 miles to nearest Skoda showroom to check out the Yeti was big enough for a family of 5 and 2 large dogs, and it was just what me and the missus are looking for.

Lease car company ordered ours last week: a Skoda Yeti 2.0 TDI CR 110bhp SE in Aqua Blue (no options) - due approx end of May.

Been reading much of this Yeti forum, and the car so far seems fantastic, reliable and above all different to the mainstream models out there. B)

Thanks Ray and aerofurb. I got 2 Siberian Huskies, the male being a 7 stone beast of a dog. I'll be posting pics of them both in boot once I get the car.

Can I just clarify: the Yeti SE trim tyres are 225/50 R17W? It's just a couple of people mentioned they had 205's on here?

Hi,

yes the standard wheels are 17" Dolomites with 225/50 R17W tyres (usually Dunlop SP1 or Goodyear Excellence).

I've been running on 16" steel rim's and 205/55 R16 winter tyres until yesterday; personally found the 17" Goodyear Excellence that came with my Monster didn't work that well with winter weather and hills. Therefore I purchased an extra set of more appropriate footwear.

Great choice of transport by the way :)

Regards,

TP

Welcome BigHuskey to our mad but happy Yeti world :)

Can't wait to see the photos of the huskies and the new Snow Monster...roll on May!

Welcome :)

Thanks for that information Plumber! Thanks for the welcome also Lady Penelope and VRSLen.

When speaking to the Lease company I asked for the fitted option of ESP instead of a metallic paint, seeing as there about the same price. Lease fella said the solid paint job would actually work out more expensive per month then metallic?? Also ordering optinal equipment would delay the order and push up the monthly cost. So I just ordered Aqua Blue - with no options to speed things up and save a few quid.

The Yeti in candy white looks fantastic judging by the photos on this forum

Welcome, great choice of car and you're right smowmonster does look fantastic in Candy white, but then I'm biased.

My snowmonsters shoes (as factory fitted on17 in Dolomites 225/50 R17W) are Pirelli P Zero Rosso
