alright folks thinkin bout lowering the fab seen koni strt kits on awesome for £345 all in was just wondering if any1 has them fitted or have heard bout hw gd/bad they are? should i buy or go for somethin else?

any help would be apreciated

I have had them on my Fabia for approx 80k miles

We have fitted a few of them on the vRS`s , wont lower as much as my PD100 Fabia , but still approx 25ish mm

Been stunning too

ap0gee has it fitted to his vRS and has done for a while

So may be worth having a PM with Chris

how come wont lower as much on the pd100? the vrs lower standard? wots the drive like?

is it not just worth shopping around and getting coilovers, it depends on what you want handling or looks, or a mix of both

The ride quality is really good and retains a lot of the comfort but depending on how low you want to go it may be best thinking about coilovers.

On a vRS, they will look like this:

My only criticism of them is that the undersides of the front top mounts need spraying with white grease every year or so where the springs fit into them, otherwise they creak like Jack Sparrow's galleon when you go over speedbumps. Five minute job, though - jack the car up until the wheel's just left the ground, put the little straw into the nozzle of your grease can, and spray away taking care not to let any drip on your tyre!

They were sold to me on the basis that they work the same as the Koni Sports, but don't have any adjustment. I've got a bit of previous of tinkering with mountain bike suspension and ending up making things worse, so I thought that idea was best avoided. Although they're supposed to be brilliant, I didn't see much point in paying for the Koni FSDs seeing how much my car's worth compared to how much they cost...

We have just had paperwork through , the STR.T kit has to go up 20%

But we have not got round to it , so my advice

Get it ordered before it goes up

If you wanted something a little cheaper maybe think about the AP kit, they do a springs and shocks kit specifically for the VRS at a great price.
