how do you remove the cd changer in an MK1?

Remove screws holding carpet surround and changer in place (4 each end),

Remove changer, disconnect cable behind carpet.

Lift/pull side carpet in the car up and you'll see the bracket held onto the side of the car with 2 large bolts.

Remove said bolts and remove bracket, then put the carpet back into position.
