Apparently the new Kia Sorento is the dogs danglies value-for-money-wise and it looks so much nicer than the old one, and drives significantly better.

Electric passenger window stuck at bottom

We were lowering the passenger front window which went all the way to the bottom, accompanied by a horrible clattering. That was it stuck down, any attempts to raise it just produced the rattling. Luckily it was in the middle of a heatwave. Took the door card off and motor but can only lift the window up 2" to try to get to the clamps. There's a cable with a nipple visible loose inside the door by the locking button which is draped over a pulley (see photo, sorry about the socks). Any suggesti

I do need to change my lovely (but aged) 2010 Fabia 1.6tdi so went looking for a year old 1.5tsi DSG SEL, found a nice one at a local dealer but when looking at the finance side of things, it worked out similar to buy a brand new one (via Carwow prices) due to the Skoda contribution and the lower APR on a PCP. We are currently travelling in France after purchasing our Superb Sportline IV last month. I put the car on charge in Le Chartre-sur-le Loir yesterday, just outside Le Mans, at a bargain public charge price of 30 euro cents per Kw to 90% or 19.61 kWh, and headed off to Angouleme, a circa 200-mile drive.
