Few piccys of my Fabia

Featured Replies

Hello, I`m in the process of starting a blog at some point on here, but in the meantime i thought i`d stick a few pictures up of my car. Until this car, i swapped motors every few months, my first two years driving saw about 6 different cars! But i`v had this about 2 years now, its done 140000 miles, and the only major thing was the turbo going. Its taken some abuse, wrong fuel, and been neglected sometimes, but always serviced and had the important bits done when needed. Mod`s as follows:

Audi TT "mini comps"

Black Grill with front badge from some old skoda? (not sure my bro came home with it randomly)

Eibach coilovers

De-Wipered boot

LCR front splitter

Aero Wipers

PD160 Air Intake

Scorpion Exhaust

Unit 18 Custom Map

Unit 18 Front Bush Upgrade

312mm Brakes with Grooved discs

HID 6k Kit with LED side lights

Alot of the mods have been bargains, and i`m really please with how the car is coming along now. Still got plenty in the pipe line for this year, dark headlight, leather retrim, new clutch, rear window tints and plenty more. :D

Need to get my valeter onto it i know!

Thanks

Matt

Nice car :)

Although i think the tatty wheels let it down, but it has some nice potential. :)

Cheers, the wheels are bad, but they were £50 and saved me running a steel for a while. They are also on my to do list, just unsure what i like yet.

Matt

Cant complain at that price then ! :)

Even just refurb them silver again would make a huge difference to the overall look of the car IMO.

Yep, a good refurb on the wheels and they'd look very nice I reckon. Hi-power silver with a touch of fleck perhaps?

Also I don't know how you manage with a de-wipered rear, the amount of cr@p that gets welded to the bootlid :o

Looking great mate, definately get the wheels done :)

Looks great, just needs a clean and refurbed wheels :)

Although i'd paint the headlights too...

Never mind the valeter, get a bloody sponge!

Looking good ;)

Can I replace 'sponge' with 'washmitt'. It's safer leaving it dirty if not!

That's having a black car for you though isn't it....

They stay clean for precisely 9 minutes :D

My vRS is the first black car I've ever owned.

Previously and in order. Orange, Red, Sky blue, Maroon, Navy blue,

Anthracite grey, Dragon green, (nearly looked black at night I thought...)

Silver, and now Black... I always wanted a black car...

Never have I washed a car so often... Yet every time I look at it it seems filthy... :(

I still wouldn't trade it though... For that 9 minutes it looks MEGA!!!

nice pics

I really like how the rear wiper delete looks.

Just couldn't live with it day to day

Brave man!!

I`ll admit, the first few months were a tad annoying, and i almost put it back on, but then thought if i can drive a 40ft bus without seeing thru my rear window, i`m sure i can manage with a super mini. . . . . . . . . . . . .of course i dont need to spot old bill in a bus tho.

As for washing, like i said, i`ll leave that to my valeter, does a better job than me, and its a pain to wash a car with no jet wash (imo). Prob me being lazy lol. I guess its time to look for some prices to refurb the wheels.

Thanks for the comments

Matt

If it's a cost issue, you could always do the wheels yourself ?

Just do one at a time, use the spare whilst one is off the car :)

...but then thought if i can drive a 40ft bus without seeing thru my rear window,

I know what you mean mate.... I am ex bus driver too.

I drove in central london when I was on the job....

I think that's why it's okay to have limo black tints on the rear.

You don't HAVE to be able to see out the back....

Thats quite a good idea actually, i`d never considered doing that, even one a week would only take a month. Cheers!

Matt

How comfy are the Eibachs just out of interest.

Stiff as **** lol. Not sure they are made anymore, mine were originally on a polo I think. They were only £250 and wasn't fussed about being too hard, I'm not sleeping in it :D
