Any further ideas?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Had a problem with the boot opening on my car. Basically you can always open it on the keyfob with out fail. But when you want to open it on tailgate switch it doesn't work and sometime it does. I have a haynes manual and looked at the electrical diagram and tested the tailgate switch and ok. Tested the tailgate lock and ok. Checked the wiring and all tested ok. What the hell else can it be. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn't????

I am lost for ideas.

Cheers

If you have the engine running, or the ignition on, it won't open for security reasons (ie, in traffic etc). As soon as the drivers (or maybe passenger) door is opened - the boot will open.

Any use?

Are you double clicking the unlock button on the remote when you open the car? One click only does the drivers door. Two does everything including the boot.

Isn't that a setting that can be configured depending upon the car? I could be wrong though as my Fabia never had remote locking.
