FUNNY NOISE WHEN BREAKING

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just got myself some drilled and groved disks with new pads. I have done about 170 miles on them. This morning on the way to work I was breaking (Not to much) but enough to notice the odd G force LOL However appon breaking there was a funny noise like a whiring noise. Sounds like the Pads were low when breaking from a high speed.

New pads were fitted at the same time as the disks as well. Any advise what it could be or is it just me being a lemon because I have never had groved and drilled disks before ;)

Cheers Jamie

It's perfectly normal to get a whirring or droning kind of noise when running grooved discs no matter what pads you've got - it's just the pad passing over the grooves.

Yes, grooved discs can be quite noisy !!
