Officially part of the Octy VRS club

Chopped in my faithful Audi A4 and picked up my VRS 2.0T hatch in race blue from Marlborough Skoda earlier today.

Got lucky as they had one arrive hot off the trailer last Friday and I wanted to do a deal before having to spend the best part of £1K doing a major service + cambelt + MOT + road tax.

Already feels like it's going to be hard to keep the revs in check as I run it in.

Thanks, will get around to doing the pics (btw what's the best way to upload) - have to admit it's shocking how much of the switchgear and kit the VAG group let Skoda use at the price.

I had a previous model A4 (2002) that I bought as an ex-demo and racked up a 118k miles, a great car to own.

I did have a look at the current A4 but felt the quality of the interior had taken a backwards step, couldn't believe they signed off the offset driving position and with a young family to support couldn't justify the price premium. The Octy also felt better to drive, more connected and less detached.

The only areas where the cost savings can be seen are items such as the grab handles that aren't damped, lack of a gas strut for the bonnet, etc.
