What oil is needed for my Dad's new 1.6CR? I assume they all have DPF?

Is it just VW504 00 like my TFSI VRS?

VW507 will most likely be what you need, although it's worth checking the manual.

Most VW507 oils are also VW504 oils, so check your bottle for what it says.

507 00 is for Variable Serviced cars too? Mine is on 507 00 atm

the CR 1.6 has a DPF, so it will be VW507 regardless of fixed or variable as this is the only low ash oil they do.
