F#!? my delivery has slipped by 1 month

Featured Replies

Received an 'update' from our fleet supplier yesterday. I ordered the car on February 1st - and told 6-8 weeks. Now looks like 12 weeks without much certainty that it might slip again 'due to demand on this vehicle at factory'. That in itself worried me, because you can't help but feel that quality control will suffer further! :'(

Dear

Thank you for placing your order with Lombard.

Please see above for your order confirmation. Please check the details, if they are incorrect please contact us asap.

Please note that the Delivery date is an estimate only and can change. If we are informed of a change in the leadtime you will be advised as soon as possible.

The delivery has slipped from the original date, the dealer's reason is "Due to demand on this vehicle at the factory".

Once the vehicle is available for delivery you will be contacted to arrange a suitable date/time/location.

Kind regards,

Lombard Vehicle Management

Better than buying a car that has been stuck in a field. Frustrating though

You didnt have a confirmed delivery date slip though did you? ie it was just an unconfirmed estimated date that slipped and is now confirmed?

As far as I know, none are taking less than 12 weeks now and our local dealer is quoting 16 weeks now!!!

At least you were given a reason, mine slipped 3 weeks and the fleet company couldn't tell me why.

Skoda have put extra shifts on Yeti and Superb production to boost supply, so hopefully quality won't slip but waiting lists will come down!

Nice to tell people your Skoda is so exclusive now that there is a 4 month waiting list though :)

I ordered mine the first week of Feb and there's still no word on a build week / delivery date. I ordered shed loads of options on mine so goodness knows when I'll eventually get it. I'm telling myself early May at the moment.

In no rush though, I'll just enjoy the TT for a while longer.

They make only 100 Yeti's each week for delivery worldwide with the panoramic roof, so if you ticked that option box, that might be the reason.. i got mine before they started to sell the Superb estate with the roof, so there was no extra wait at that time.

Let's hope it's worth the wait when you take delivery of your new Yetis

Ordered mine 22/02/2010. Just been advised that it's due to be built in Week 15, which is 12/04/2010, with a three week delivery time. This should take me to a collection date of around 10/05/2010.

So, for me, at the moment this means a 12 week wait from order :(

This is for a 170TDi 4x4 Elegance, with metallic paint, TPS, and upgraded SoundSystem.

Wonder whats going on here.

We ordered our 1.8TSi SE + extra's at the end of Jan. Got a week 10 build and had contact from the dealer today to say its arrived there today....collecting on Monday!

Maybe its certain popular engines that are knocking back some cars?

As JonA above mentions - do you have the sunroof option specified?

Sounds to me that the original delivery estimate was not realistic. I have not heard of anyone else quoted as little as 6 weeks.

You'll love it once it's loosened up a bit :thumbup:
