Thinking of ordering a new fl VRS before the vat free deal finishes. The dealer said there is currently a finance deal of 1.5% flate rate over 3 years. Does anybody know if this is only for 3 years or can it be done over 4 years?

It's only for up to 3 years....so 4.5% over the whole term (1.5% per year)

Remember whilst the flat rate may be 1.5% the APR is 3.6% ................ so do your calculations !

Not sure about 4 years though - best call them at Milton Keynes or speak to the Dealer.

I took the 1.5% finance this month. I did ask them if it could be extended to 4 years. the answer was no, for 4 years the apr will be 6.5%.

To get the deal you need to put down 10% deposit.

The APR will vary depending on the amount you borrow, APR is pretty meaningless. As someone else said it's 1.5% per year so 4.5% for the entire 3 year term, so if you're financing £10k you'd get charged £450 in interest, plus the extra charges they add onto the agreement which from memory are £120 with the first payment and £60 with the final payment.

People pay far much attention to APR, just look at the base rate and the total amount payable they are much more important when financing a car.
