Hi all, I've been having thoughts, now and then, about buying a 1.9PD estate 4x4. Having searched through lots of 4x4 postings last night, I have a couple of questions.

1. Is the typical tyre life only about 10k miles ?

2. Is the heating system any good at producing hot air quickly, ie, ptc element ?

Don't know anyone with a 4x4 diesel aren't they continental europe only? Heater works fine in mine and it eats tyres - worst 9k best 16k - but its petrol and mapped so not really relevant :(
