Featured Replies

i want to know what is the correct temp. with ac on..

i mean when i put the ac on and the temp is 100 goes to 110 is that normal on skoda Felicia

or i have a problem with temp

when i have it off the temp. goes in the middle but when i turn and goes way up high 100 or 110

i live at Dominican republic now the weather is pretty hot sooo any advice i will appreciate it

we dont have many felicia's over here with ac but i would think that the temperature should stay the same not get hotter, does the radiator fan work correctly?

That makes sense to me.

On the general point of why the cars do it, I'd expect them to run hotter with AC on, because the load on the engine increases, and the heat that the AC removes from the air to the cabin has to go somewhere. All the possible somewheres are in the engine bay!

I live in Greece and the summers here are HOT.During summer time with a/c on the temp does not fall below 110°C for no reason. When I get stuck in traffic or drive on the motorway the temp climbs up to 130°C.The first couple of years I thought that my car was faulty and made several tests with measuring instruments connected. No "solution" was given apart from the use of racing cooling fluid which costs exactly as much as the red coolant SKODA gives and is for temps up to 150°C.I have been using this solution since 2002 with no other problems.I have changed all the cooling circuit hoses only once,in 2007.The only "side effect"is the increased loss of coolant (due to expansion, not evaporation) so I have to add approximately 3 liters of coolant solution throughout the whole summer (2l of coolant&1l of water).I have the original small a/c radiator.

NOTE:During my tests I had completely removed the front bumper and the a/c radiator and put a brand new felicia radiator on as well as a new 2speed felicia radiator fan.The temp continued to climb until 110°C.So I conclude that the a/c is not responsible for all that heat production but just making it worse.

hi i am also live in egypt and i have the same problem so i want to know how is discover this problem for you to have ability to fix my car. i want to know what is the meaning of condenser cuz . do you mean the dryer? or you mean "سرينتينة " i want to explain it for me then. i am waiting for your replay any way my email is [email protected]

Ponza, there's a link to an explanatory thread about aircon in the "General Technical Guides" forum, started under my user name.

Briefly though, the condensor is the part of the ac system that cools the working fluid for the ac. It looks a lot like an engine radiator because that's basically what it is. The drier is a separate part.

Domincanskoda Hello I too am Dominican and I have a skoda I have a question for you to see I meet
