im tempted to keep my car

Featured Replies

well my car was in th boy shop having some touch up work done on a small dent and few scratches, because a certain someone didn look behind hem properly when reversing :S

they gave me some sh*te fiesta as a hire car.

So today i went to pick the car up and i love it again, it feels so good, although there are a few things i want to change. Im still building myself a track car, so im going to mellow he vRS down a tad.

Firstly im going to put the standard cat back on the car to mellow the exhaust down a bit. And i've purchased a set of Ed30 suspension that has only covered 1500miles, be intersting to see how it performs as the ride height on the golfs are lower than the vRS and they have better damping so im hoping it will be a good little mod. The roads around my area are horrendous and the coilovers are a bit too harsh, never noticed any issues with them until moving here,

I think ill keep the front eibach ARB and WALK, but ill be upgrading the rear eibach ARB to something stiffer, to reduce the understeer further(which could get worse when switching to standard suspension)

now i just wish i hadnt flogged the ITG and autotech HPFP. oh well im still at stage 2 so its not too slow

lol, th missus was so fecked off with me whinging at how crap the hire car was that she wy dont i tame the car and keep it, but still build a track car. It was up there with the birth of a child on terms of joy lol.

think im going to fit the ED30 shocks which will mated to the eibach front ARB, with a BSH 27mm rear ARB, and the WALK, then il finish it off with some TT lower arms for some xtra negative camber. i reckon it'll make it a more capable raod car, maybe not as good on track thoguh

So the cat back Piper was quite loud then, I did have my suspicions ;) but I'm gald you're keeping her.

It's possibly my favorite mod on mine - the sound is addictive.

nah, its not that bad at all really, the whole point of me originaly selling up was to get an everyday car and a track car,

if im going to keep this one it needs winding back down a peg or two, and the coilovers and cat back are the two bits to go. the car wil ride the bumps and sound almost standard then, which is what im after.

when i decide on a track carthat wil be no holds barred. loud and harsh

Sounds nice Si wish i could afford your Piper cat back which is currently for sale ;) It would go well with my piper cat but the Missus keeps banging on about a kitchen or somert :(
