Contact Cover Systems have had 4 from them last one was for my 4 motion Bora worth the money

Trust me the cat will love you for giving it a comfy surface to sit on with the cover and sit there scratching at it

Just keep scaring it away instead

I have an auto pyjama auto storm on one of my project cars.

Full weather proof and covers the whole car. My cat has torn it to shreds already. Not cool

Rather than covering the car, I use this in my garden and it works a treat. Even the most determined of cats now bypasses our drive with a shake of it's head or a wildly flicking tail. If this doesn't work, then I would buy an air pistol. Unlike the OP, I'm not joking.....

The only time a cat should be anywhere near to a car is if was factory fitted into the exhaust. Otherwise the EvilOnes™ should banned. :D
