Featured Replies

Check the little silver hangers just in front of the rear wheels, one hook on each side attached to the bodywork and handbrake outer cable.

Good luck

had a similar thing with my 56 plate vrs estate. It was driving me nuts as well. Noticed that if I slammed the boot shut the noise disappeared.

Examined the boot struts and one of them seemed to have a lot of play side to side. Had the local Skoda garage check them, expecting a replacement,

but they said they just tightened one of the struts and since then it has gone away. Thank god.

Also check that the cargo area cover is located firmly in the clips above the wheel arches. Mine made exactly the noise described one time when it was loose.

Did you have the rear seat back down? I had awful hassle with the clip mechanism rattling after put back in place, I think it's the spring inside. I posted on here a while back. Some cardboard can sort it.
