skoda octavia mk1 central locking

Featured Replies

hi all, just a note to say that i had an issue with all windows coming down and all doors unlocked overnight, it wasn,t the usual corroded contacts in the drivers door or any door.

i ended up cutting 12 wires to the drivers door control unit, including the canbus data link in other words, this stopped it but i lost electric mirrors, interior light and light warning buzzer,

a small price compared to £200 for a new unit, on a 10yr old car! all except drivers door still lock centrally, and manual on drivers door.

the front two electric windows still work as well but not rear from drivers control.

regards to all paul wren.
