Interior Door Handle

Featured Replies

Well my trusty old girl has completed 260,000 as a taxi and is soon to retire as I have now bought a brand new Superb. :p

It must have known that it was soon to be put to rest as the driver interior door handle has justed snapped!

So, I would like to know if it is possible to just replace the chrome handle... or is it more complicated than that? :wonder:

I would also add that the car in general is very good and it will become my private car.

I did have a new gearbox at 240,000 and the cam shaft was replaced at around 200,00.

But other than that the car has been a great workhorse.... I hope the new one will be just as good!

I doubt it will be, the old one had the advantage that it's not been subjected to the euro emissions brigades wish list of stuff to make it go wrong, lets hope it proves itself ok, still even if it's a bit troublesome, it still won't be as bad as most other cars you could've bought, and none will do the workload like the Superb.

Andy, you need a haircut mate. :)

Yeah, you're bound to say that.

As for the door handle, I can't imagine Skoda or VW selling the part separately (though I may be wrong), guessing a scrappy would be your best bet. They too would probably sell the door mech as a unit, but it's going to be what £15 maybe £25?

Just a case of finding one and bargaining for the right price, show a little leg and flutter those lashes of yours and you'll be fine love ..... err, I mean fella. ;)
