I was at the skoda dealer today to pick up a paint touch-up kit and enquired about cruise control fitting on my Octy vRS 56 plate (Jan 07 registration). The bloke looked it up only to find that it was discontinued and not available as of Feb 2010. He was very surprised and a bit upset as he was hoping to fit the same upgrade for his own car - he even tried ordering it anyway as the system should have suggested viable alternatives. But even going to VW/Audi he drew a balnk. In theory the unit should cost £66 plus about £110 labour at a Skoda dealer.

Any thoughts about where to look?

Can this be done?

I miss having cruise control and I thought it may be a reasonably cheap upgrade but it looks like getting the part may be difficult?

I have done this to my Golf recently, I fitted it myself so a cheap improvement
