Featured Replies

I forgot to mention that the car is local so went to see it last week and it drives ok, very smooth. the other points are 6 months left on the mot and tax out at end of month. Also looks like the 2 front brake pipes and 1 at the rear are slightly corroded so will need replacing for its mot. 2 front tyres are on the limit and exhaust backbox dosent look to good there is no service history but the oil doesnt look like its been in for the last 5 years and it has had a brand new alternator and new fan blower motor. If i got this would have to do the following...

Throw a cambelt on (being the 8 valve not sure if you have to do the tensioner on this engine)

2 tyres

new back box (got quoted £100 for this)

replace 2 front and 1 rear brake pipes (its the small ones from the wheels not the main ones)

Seems not too bad but might just be me..........I always look on negative !

41 000 miles over 10 years thats 4100 a year but they mention going to Plymouth which from there is a 700 mile round trip so say you have done 10 trips as what I would class as frequent over a year thats 7000 miles so your left with 34 000 in 10 years normal road distance 3400 a year I done 3000 in my kit car as a weekend car in 6 months!

Good deal if it is all as it seems, do the good old HPI check on it! No service history on a car so well looked after so little miles you would think they would have something if they have been so loving of it?
