Try to discribe this as best i can . . .

Was cleaning the car today and when i opened the bonnet to clean it , just above the radiator running from left to right there is the black metal bar which joins joins to the headlights , nr to this i noticed two thin brown wires which are joined by a small connector block (not plugged in to each other) ??? this then runs into the back of the black metal bar behind the bonnet latch

Any ideas what this is for , i have re-connected them but dunno what they are for :S

Hope u can understand this :D

I think you might find it is connected to a switch/sensor that relays to the Maxidot whether the bonnet is open or not, it may also connect to the alarm system as well.

Mine was not connected either when delivered. I pushed them together and bingo I had a display on Maxidot showing me that the bonnet was either open or shut.

Senior Scout

Pictures?

I cant see where you mean.

There is no black metal bar attached to the headlights???? :S

Perhaps i descibed it wrong , its the black bar which runs from left to right , the bonnet catch is attached to it .
