Fabia Scout - finally arrived!

Featured Replies

After a two month wait, I finally took delivery of my Scout a few days ago...............and I'm blown away by it.

I ordered one without actually seeing one in the metal as no dealers near me had a demonstrator and I chose the colour because I liked the picture of a white one posted by another member.

I was a little concerned about the engine (1.4 TDi) after coming from a VRs but I have been pleasantly suprised by how punchy it is.

Niggles.........well, the engine is a bit rattly from cold and I'm only seeing 46mpg but I'm confident both these will improve with miles. When i picked it up, the central locking was programmed for double click unlocking and drive away locking, both of which drove me mad, but 5 minutes on the VAG machine back at the dealer sorted that out.

A few pictures attached.......

Very nice! I favour the Elegance 1.2tsi, but I want the wheels from the Scout. They are more practical and, in my opinion, look better.

To be honest, I think they both look good but the Elegance wheels may be tricky to clean with those narrow slots. They are similar to my old VRs in that respect.

The no cost option 'Elba' wheels availible on the Elegance will be easier to clean , they look like a 16" version of the 17" Trinity.
