Got a wee queri.

On the passenger side of the mk2 octy vrs, the cover for the door lock next to the handle seems to be missing. On inspection it looks as though the door lock has been taken out as there is a huge gap. not sure but...............

question 1. is there a door lock on the pass side?

2. can u buy a new cover for the door from anyone on this site or from the dealer itself?

my classic has door locks on both sides, so you would assume the vrs does too unless models with proper remote central locking don't come with two.

had a further look and don't think it has a pass door lock. think its just the cover for a door lock.

Well went to skoda in hamilton and ordered a new door cap cover for £34.00 inc painting. A bit steep but still haviing a big hole in the door ain't nice looking on a car this good.

Now as my mate went to the car to get his football boots from the passenger side, the door handle has given way and is deemed as broke. It ain't fallen off car but if you pull handle to open door, the full unit comes away from door towards you. Went back to Skoda in hamilton toady and they are saying that i won't be covered under warranty and it wil cost atleast £250inc labour plus vat. Around the £300 mark. Is a problem like this covered under warranty and parks just being donkey's about it or are they right? Has anyone else had this prob?

cheers
