Deposit paid! Another Yeti ordered!

Featured Replies

 The deposit has been taken and the Yeti ordered! I'm over the moon!

140 CR TDI Elegance 4x4

Aqua Blue

Sunroof

Park Assist

Tyre Pressure Monitor

Upgraded Sound

Spare wheel

Variable floor (supposedly)

And from the dealer I will get:

Wheel bolts

Fire extinguisher

First Aid kit

Mudflaps Front

Mudflaps Rear

Net system for cars with spare

Net in Parcel shelf

Rubber floor mats

Warning triangle

Bumper cover

Boot covers

Now my wait begins... I've never had to wait this long for a new car. The Audi was to my exact spec but the dealer found a pre-ordered one and I had it nine days after paying the deposit!

You know its worth the wait. Congrats

Thanks Ray

I've not test driven anything else as I know this is exactly what I want. So don't mind the wait (that much!)

You'll be happy when it arrives!!

Thanks James. It is good to see a dealer on a forum like this being so helpful I have to say... A happy customer now will certainly keep coming back for more in the future - be that my next car or a service.

Sounds like a lovely car. You say that you are getting wheel bolts from the dealer? My humble 'S' model came with security wheel bolts as standard. Are you sure that you need them?

I'm just going by what the brochure says... But as we know who knows what one can and can't do on there on a UK Yeti!

Congratulations on your order of a great spec car , it's so worth the wait mate they are an amazing vehicle I may be biased here but in this class of vehicle I dont think you can do better !

Good luck with your wait though

I see your location is London. Why choose the 4x4? Do not see this as a snipe at you I am just curious.

Three reasons:

1. During the summer I camp a lot and have been stuck twice in my A2 in slippery conditions. Having a 4x4 will open up further afield places to camp and get to.

2. I want something that us an upgrade to the very nippy A2 in terms of speed and power. The 1,2 and 110 TDI not enough and hence I want a 140 which you only get in 4x4 guise.

3. I've looked at what these 4x4 clubs do over weekends and well doing some "green laning" looks like fun!

"green laning" in a Yeti?

Yes, shouldn't be a problem at all! It has adequate ground clearance and reasonable attack angles for slopes, so why not? I reckon it will go anywhere my Freelander will go; you just have to choose the route carefully.

I am arranging a possible Yeti expedition probably around the beginning of June, in the Rhayader/Llanidloes area. Likely dates is the 5th of June.

WATCH THIS SPACE!!
