Badger Strike!

Featured Replies

Well there I was quietly tootling along (about 50mph) just outside Knutsford last night when there was a blur of grey in front of me, a big thump and it became apparent that a suicidal badger had decided to end it all on my front bumper :( . Didn't have time to swerve or brake, there was absolutely nothing I could do to avoid it.

Anyway, I've checked out the damage (to the car, I suspect the badger is well broken) properly this morning. Front spoiler is well messed up over a 6"x4" area at the bottom near-side and the whole bumper is hanging a good inch lower on that side. I'm now faced with the quandry of whether I get the insurance involved and stump up my £400 excess.

I know diagnosis from a distance is difficult but has anyone had similar damage repaired and has an idea of cost? Or do you have any recommendations for bodywork repairers in the Sandbach/Cheshire area?

Cheers folks

Sort it yourself, it shouldnt cost much more, if any more than the excess to fix.

Get someone mechanically minded to confirm it's consmetic and I'm sure you could fix it for less than £400.
