VRS Rear PDC - New owner Issue

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am a new owner of a 2009 VRS CR and have a question regarding the rear PDC.

On my previous Octavia Elegance, when I selected reverse there would be a silouette of the car on the radio screen, on my VRS this doesn't happen.

I have checked the menu screens ( 2 of ) and there does not appear to be any way of turning the PDC on, is this corrct or is there a fault?

Any input would be appreciated.

Perhaps they were a dealer fit option rather than factory fit? This would explain why there is no display on the bolero. I believe these parking sensors only give you an acoustic warning.

Just what I was thinking too. Retro fit.

I've looked at other VRS's and the actual fitments look identical to mine, so to me they look factory fitted.

Are there any way of identifying which options were factory fitted?, for example all the numbers on the inside cover of the service docs do they

show which 'extras' have been factory fitted?

Thanks again

I did this once, I googled skoda build codes and a website came up which allows you to put all the 3 character codes from the sticker in your service book or in the spare wheel well into a box and it will come back to you with all the options fitted at the factory i.e. what the codes actually stand for, perhaps you could try this and see what it brings up.

Ian.

Found it, it is" igorweb.org/equidec/" and it is for VW Group build codes.
