Hello Guys

Today, I was driving when I hear something broke inside my seat backrest and there is no back support. I fill like my back is sinking on the backrest. Also the knob that I turn to adjust the back support stop working. ( check pic, red arrow)

Have any of you has removed the drivers seat on a Octavia I or has removed the seat cover? Can somebody point me to a DYI. Do removing the seat from the car, can triger the Air Bag light?

Sorry I forget to mention it. This is a 2002 Octavia L&K 1.8T. It have factory leather seat and heated. The seats are manual.

Also, this car dont have side airbags neither in the door or in the seat.

I really dont know what part of the seat get hot since I have never put the seat heater on since I live in Central America

I would bet that the cable which adjusts the lumbar support has snapped at the end. I managed a DIY replacement with the seat in the car but it would be easier to remove the seat to do it, especially as you don't have airbags in the seat.

hello. i want to install heat seats kit. it contains heating elements. i want to find out if the material is kept by a wire that is secured on the start/end or by a wire and is sustained by metal rings from the foam of the chair(3-4 pieces for each wire). i mean if the heated element must have holes to let the steel ring to secure the material or it's just a wire that enter in the foam and pulls the material, and this wire is secured only in the ends. Sorry for my bad english. Please help me

Hello, I've got a Whole in my front seat in my skoda Octavia -04. And I've found a jused on, but the "New"one is eletric, where as my seat is manual. Does someone know if its possible to only change the pillow on the seat? or if its possible to Connect the New seat to electrisity and then use it? gratefull for all the help I can get
