Anyone noticed that the Fabia FL brochure lists the 1.2 Tsi engine (all variants) as 2 valves per cylinder whereas the Octavia brochure has the 1.2 Tsi engine with 4 valves per cylinder???

It's listed as 2 valves per cylinder in the yeti brochure so I'm inclined to think that it only has 2 valves per cylinder. I saw a pic of one in a polo and the head looked too narrow to be a 4-valve per cylinder head.

Though it does say its supercharged rather than turbo dont know if that is due to translation.

Have also seen a film about the new engine which explains it as an 8v think it was in the Yeti section, its partly down to the lower end torque delivery of an 8v and also the friction and efficiency savings.

Wikipedia describes the 1.2 TSI as having 'centrally located spark plugs' but you can clearly see in the link above they are positioned at the front of the engine, hence 8v
