I need to replace the aerial base on my 55 reg Octavia Estate as reception is poor and in the hidden menu ANT=OFF. Doing the job is no problem, i've removed some trim and can get to the bolt if i hold the head lining down a little - BUT how much are aerial bases and where is cheapest to get one from - god only knows what a dealer will charge so if I can avoid them )

I've trawled the threads but no one has ever said what they paid for one - Anyone got a number??

Guess you're going to have to buy the unit from Skoda unless there's a cheaper VAG alternative. When I had mine done it was £38.28 for the hardware and £76.96 for labour - both plus VAT of course - £132.51 in all. So good on you if you can do it yourself; the cost of the part is minimal.
