remap

Featured Replies

I have trawled through the forum reading the remap posts and i'm not a stranger to getting it done as had it done last year but wasn't happy with result so put it back to standard.

I got a price from rapid remap who offer an economy one for £169+vat. If i want it fine tuned then prices goes upto £255.

They said they've mapped loads of Vrs' and the economy map will give about 5-8% power increase and should achieve 10-20% better fuel economy.

They dont have a dyno but say if i find i want more power or less they will fine tune the eco map to suit.

If after all that i decide i dont like it, there's no refund on it.

This does bother me as i'm sure some mappers give a guarantee of cooling off period

does make me wonder tho how remappers without a dyno know roughly what the power increase will be.

what do you think?

p.s. I have contacted the big remap companies, still waiting for replies.Everyone seems to be on holiday still.
