RainX

Featured Replies

The halfords one is just as good.

Agree ! Infact i would go for that over RainX

Halfords own is much better than the Rain X stuff. Lasts ages, no smears, and water beads so much I pretty much never use my wipers anymore! Its all in the preparation though, make sure you give the screen a proper clean first before applying the stuff

Agree with all of the above, there is however a new product on the market that is getting some 'rave' reviews over on DW.............

Are you allowed to tell us, is it a secret, or am I just too lazy to go trawling through the DW forums? :)

Of course........share and share a like and all that............... emoticon-0144-nod.gif

Will be testing this on my own car in the next few weeks, just waiting for the product to arrive at the moment............. emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Ahhhhh! Would you believe I actually ready that post :) If I remember he rated this stuff on his windscreen and was going to use another from the range on his side windows (perhaps I'm not such a lazy bugger :) )

Look forward to hearing your opinion.

P.S. Stop using Zaino, its making me consider spending my hard earned and buying some, though it probably wont like my Diamondbrite (cept the Z-CS) :)

Sorry mate, would love to stray away from it but I just haven't found anything as easy and as durable to apply giving really top finishes without going into the 'silly money' market............

  • 2 weeks later...

I've found that using diluted screenwash and newspaper to clean the glass with produces very similar results.

ive found this to be pretty good at cleaning the windscreen it removed a bad application of rain x , so i could do it again properly!

windscreen cleaner

There's X hate wherever you go on the internet these days. I love it, I've used it for years and it works perfectly. But each to their own.
