Yeti Spare wheel

Featured Replies

I've a Yeti on order with the 'full size spare wheel' as described in the brochure. However the dealer tells me it is in fact 3/4 size and hence probably restricted the same as the space-saver wheel. When I had my last car(Golf plus), I ordered a full size steel spare which was really full size, and a similar shape to the alloys and compatible with the TPM etc., so when we were on a long overnight journey at the weekend, as we sometimes were, we could fit it and press on without being restricted to 50mph. This had to be ordered to match the particular alloys that were fitted, and came from Germany special order from the dealer. There was room in the normal boot storage place for it, where it replaced the skinny spare.

Does anyone know if there is any sign of one being available for the Yeti, and if it fits in the boot anyway?

Welcome to the Monster Asylum.

There have been various threads on this very question. I tried doing a search but got nowhere. Using the long way I found the one I was looking for. Read and digest. A lot of the Yeti pics on this forum are on Flickr.com

Thanks for the info. I have just seen the new April Yeti brochure, very minor price changes mainly, but note that they no longer call the spare wheel 'full size', but offer only the space saver wheel now. Will have to wait and se what mine turns up with! Regards Jessica

Hi,

all Monsters have a 195/60 R16 89H tyre on a 6J x 16 ET50 rim, as a spare. This can be classed as a full size wheel but on a Yeti it's a space-saver (smaller than the standard fit).

Might find these links of interest if you have not already come across them.
