I got the parrot mki9100 and autoleads SOT harness today. tried to mate them up to the Stream headunit in my Octavia. I have wires that dont go anywhere and odd spare bits everywhere. Anyone have/seen an install tut for this combo ?

Ah thats a bit far from me..

You need to use the din wiring into the autoleads adaptor , the other harness is not needed your just swopping the connectors to use the parrot into the stream unit.

i Will pm you my no. ring me if you need help.

Do you have any pics of yours fitted? I'm interested to see where its mounted.

me too, am considering one of these

Will get some up , all the gubbins are fitted in the hollow of the console , lots of room there , its easy to do just the running of the wiring and mic thats a faff , i took them over the steering column and into the fuse box .

I've got the 3100, but I would like 3000 ideally. I want the bluetooth to be as descrete as possible. I know its nice to have the screen, but I would just check the phone if I wanted to see who was calling me. I was thinking about having the kit mounted to the left of the head light button, but I have a feeling my device will be a little too big.

pics would be spot on !

I'm guessing i don't need the "line in" wires and it looks like i need to modify the mute cable so i can connect from the blue box to mute terminal on Stream unit ? I did another trial fit but everything just seems lifeless ! :(

if your using the right sot lead you shouldn't need the mute wire modified unless your headunit is amplified, the parrot mutes the radio in the blue box until the call is over

i got one of these fitted in my octy, i got the screen just above the head unit near the hazard light button.

looks to fit quite well with the car as plastics r same colour, dunt look out of place like some do.

if u want a pic posting let me know and i will try.

All sorted ! The red unmarked wire needed to be connected to a positive feed. I connected to a key switched terminal in the fuse box. Works as advertised !

All the gubbings is behind the Climatronic console and ashtray. Screen is just below hazard switch and control unti is sat ahead of the power window switches :)

If only the instructions told me about that red wire !!

I can't recall which is which but when I fitted my ck3100 you also had to swap the fuse holders (switch live and permanent are wrong way around)........the way you will know is when you switch off and pull out key does parrot say goodbye?...if not then they need switching or your call will end the minute the key is out rather than giving you the option to transfer to phone.

Nah too easy that mate , lol.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong BUT "Needs to be a +ve feed "---- you connected to a "switched terminal"

I would love to see a pic mate. I was thinking of hiding mine near the headlight switch?

That doesn't look to bad tbh. Did you have to trim the plastics to get them to sit flush? My thoughts for getting the 3000 system was that without the screen I wouldn't need to see it. For that reason I could mount it in a place where its not so noticeable.

No there was no trimming needed on close inspection u can see a bit of a gap but nowt major.

have you bought one yet? I had one in my last octy, took it out to get the GSMIII in my new model, and haven't put it on ebay yet :)

cheers
