I've tried to reprogram a new key (imobiliser) but doesn't seem to work using the method here:-

The key is from another Skoda but not sure which model, looks exactly the same though...

Do you need to have a blank transponder chip inside the key for it to work? Or can previously paired keys be reprogrammed to a different car?

I'm not talking about the remote control function as that works perfectly, it's just not the starting of the car (imobiliser)!

you need blank transponder as once it is programmed for one car you cannot reprogram for another one anymore (it is locking itself)

I've got a new transponder now... I've put this in the key...

I've logged in using the SKC code which I have on a scratch off panel on a bit of plastic,

Logged in by adding in a 0 at the beginning but it keeps saying dropped session!

Also can't seem to find option 21 under instruments - It's saying 'No Channel'

What should it be saying if Login is OK? I'm following a silver sticker on a plastic key ring thing which has 4 numbers, I add a 0 to this at the beginning and try...

Try going to 01-Engine and logging in with the number you have. It will either accept the key or not accept the key, a dialogue box will tell you.

Ok, tried as you said Shark_90 but a dialogue box did not tell me anything... no news is good news I took it as!

So I logged into Immobiliser, logged back in again - changed the 01 channel setting to the number of keys I had, then the dash went blank...

switched off, put in new key, dash went blank again...

keys reprogrammed OK

So Guys - It's not [17 - Instruments] at all, and not Channel 21 as it doesn't exist.

but following Ross-Tech site, it's [25 - Immobilizer] with Channel 01
