Well we picked up Swmbo new run around yesturday, a Skoda Octavia mk1 Estate,

The owner had the remote locking coded out of the key so that you have to put the key in the door to lock and unlock it

The key is the 2 button type that came with the Ambiente spec,

So the question is. Is it just a case of codeing it to remote unlock via vag com?

if anyone knows how to do it i would be greatfull, as it is a bit of a pain having to use the key!

Anyone in Kent or nearby have Vag com? or v cas or whatever the new name is

It can be done, go into 46 - convenience unit, 10 - adaptation, channel 00 (this will clear all the remotes), channel 01 and tell it how many remotes you want to register, save and press a button on each remote as VCDS prompts you to do.
